In 1993 Cath Kidston opened a tiny shop in London’s Holland Park. She began by selling the vintage fabrics, wallpapers and brightly painted junk furniture she remembered fondly from her childhood. Her clever witty re-working of traditional English country house style meant that her shop soon became a cult success.

Mixing the whimsical, the classic and the nostalgic gives a surprising and refreshing modern edge. Hugely influential and instantly recognisable, Cath Kidston has grown to become a global lifestyle brand.

"My chief inspiration is vintage fabric. I love to take the essence of these old designs and reinvent them to give a contemporary twist."
